10.24.2007 Conveyor Group Expands Staff IMPERIAL, Calif. – October 24, 2007 – Conveyor Group, an Imperial Valley based advertising agency and website development firm, proudly announces the addition of two new team members. Increasing demand for marketing communication and web development services, both locally and regionally, have prompted Conveyor Group to recruit additional staff. “We’ve been interviewing candidates for months,” said Aaron Popejoy - Creative Director. “We just can’t settle for the average applicant, our clients deserve the very best,” he added. Kevin Thompson joins Conveyor Group from his previous post as Director of Web Development for SEO, Inc., A Fortune 500 web development firm. His new role as Web Programmer and Assistant Webmaster fills an important opening. “We’re very pleased to welcome Kevin to the team,” Aaron Popejoy stated. “He brings a whole new level of expertise and technical creativity to our web development service offerings.” In his prior position, Kevin was responsible for maintaining a technical edge and developing sites with the latest interactive features. His experience ranges from site architecture and planning to advanced feature programming and sophisticated interface development. He also possesses a strong technical support and client services background. In addition to his experience, Kevin’s education in multimedia technologies and web design support his role at Conveyor Group. To balance the addition of technical staff, Conveyor Group has retained the services of another graphic design associate. Edgar Rodriguez, a Calexico native, returns to his home town after advancing his studies into multimedia, web design, 3D animation, and video editing at Platt College in San Diego. “Edgar’s recently extended education is very much in-line with where Conveyor Group is going,” said Aaron Popejoy. “We really needed another experienced print designer with capabilities in new media.” “Edgar is that person,” he added. Edgar graduated with a degree in Graphic Design in 2001 and has since worked extensively as a print designer and webmaster. He has also assisted with photography and custom illustration projects. “Our new team members are seasoned professionals,” Stated Alex Tamayo - Production Manager for Conveyor Group. “Their presence is allowing us to expand services, take on new challenges, and work faster and more efficiently than ever.” Conveyor Group was originally established in 1997 at the height of the web boom. Over the past ten years, they have grown from a two person design firm located in downtown El Centro, into a full service agency with a dozen specialized team members. They are now located in Imperial, occupying a newly-built studio.
